MESHOPPEN -- State police said that the body found in the Susquehanna River in Wyoming County earlier this week is Thomas Yates of New York.
Officials said Yates' body was pulled from the water in Meshoppen Thursday afternoon after people on a passing train spotted the body.
According to authorities, Yates reportedly ended up in the river back in March while he and his brothers were on a bridge in Laceyville.
State police said the brothers were fighting at the time and crews searched the river, but turned up nothing back in March.
Troopers said the investigation in Wyoming County is ongoing.
