West Pittston house fire considered suspicious

This is the second time first responders have been called to the same house along Foundry Street within two years.

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Officials in Luzerne County say a house fire is suspicious, and this isn't the first time crews have responded there. 

Flames broke out at a home in the 800 block of Foundry Street in West Pittston on Friday night.

This video of the fire was submitted by a viewer.

The place was filled with smoke and fire when first responders arrived.

Authorities say the home was empty at the time.

In 2022, there was a fire in the attic at the same home.

In 2014, two people were arrested for setting fires at different homes along Foundry Street.

The most recent fire along Foundry Street is considered suspicious. A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause.
