EXETER -- An arbitrator has ruled a fired police officer in Luzerne County can have his job back.
Exeter borough council fired Leonard Galli last year, but the arbitrator ruled council wrongly terminated him and ordered he be reinstated at sergeant.
However, the arbitrator did say that council had the right to suspend Galli. Therefore his 14 months off the job can be considered a suspension and the borough does not owe Galli any back pay.
According to court filings, Galli allegedly used his work computer on the job to look at pornography and solicit sexual relationships. He was suspended in February 2014 and fired in July 2014.
