SCRANTON -- People have been lining up since early Monday morning to get into the Donald Trump rally in Scranton on the last day of the presidential campaign.

This is the republican nominee's fourth visit to our area this election including his second trip to Lackawanna College.

While Donald Trump supporters fill the Lackawanna College Student Union ahead of Donald Trump's visit, students are soaking in the whole experience of seeing their campus become an election epicenter.

"It's pretty cool," said Lackawanna College student Ryan Janvier. "It's interesting and exciting. I'm not really used to this kind of environment and all these people around."

"I wasn't expecting much, really," said student Eli Baez. "I didn't know Donald Trump would come to Scranton but it's cool."

The student union is a popular spot for the Republican presidential nominee. Back in July, Trump campaigned in front of a packed crowd with running mate Mike Pence. He's also made two other trips to our area hosting rallies at Mohegan Sun Arena in April and October.

"I think it's a good experience, honestly," said Baez. "I don't know much about politics but seeing everything going on around here, it's good to know."

Maraea Blackwell of Dickson City is the first to admit she's one of those rare undecided college students, even with just a day to go before Election Day.

"It's a good thing because nobody really knows Scranton and it brings publicity to Scranton and makes it more known. And I feel like him coming is a good thing."

Blackwell plans to attend the rally to better help her make up her mind, an opportunity she couldn't pass up right in her own backyard.

"I did not plan to go up there and watch him. I planned to go home and sleep, so, yeah, it's turning my whole day around. I'm going to be up there today."

Supporters came from far and wide to listen to Donald Trump speak on the eve of Election Day.

Sean Arbabi is from Idaho and travels cross-country as a truck driver. Given that Idaho has voted Republican in every election since 1952 except once, this is a big deal for him.

"I delivered a load here this morning and saw on the Trump website that there was going to be a rally So i called my boss and asked him if I could have the day off and he said, 'sure, go for it,' so I'm here now to show my support," said Arbabi.

Take a short walk down the line of people waiting outside to catch a glimpse of the Republican nominee and you'll find Mirtha Boss.

"I wanted to be part of the movement," Boss said.

She's originally from Peru but is living in New Jersey now and she had no intention of missing this rally.

"I like him because he's kind of very honest and speaks the truth and speaks like a normal person and not fake."

Hope Finamore left her house on Long Island just before 4 a.m. Monday so she could witness her first Trump rally in person, with her two children by her side.

"They'll be going off to college and I want the world to be good again," Finamore said. "I want them to be safe and I want them to live a good life and make America great again."
