SCRANTON, Pa. — When people got to the pool at Weston Park on Spring Street in Scranton on Thursday, they found a lock on the gate.
The Weston Park pool is the only pool in the city of Scranton open right now. The others are closed for renovations.
Officials say with the high usage of the pool over the past few days, the pool needed to be cleaned, which meant closing it for the day.
People who stopped by say they wish there would have been some sort of notice before they made the trip.
"I got one 14 year old in the car right now, and right now, we are going to have to go to a splash pad, which isn't really doing nothing. I can just take a water hose and wet them," Luix Ortiz said.
Park officials expect the pool at Weston Park to reopen on Friday. Hours are posted HERE.
