Flash flooding closes some streets in Lackawanna County

The rain caused some flash flooding in parts of Scranton on Friday afternoon.

SCRANTON, Pa. — The rain caused some flash flooding in parts of Scranton.

A portion of Olive Street was closed after the waters rose. Newswatch 16 found a black SUV submerged in the flood waters there. 

Part of East Market Street is also closed Friday night. The closure is between Meylert and Roseanne Avenues in Scranton.
