DANVILLE, Pa. -- For the second day in a row, a written bomb threat was discovered at Danville Area High School. The school was on lockdown for about an hour.

The written threat prompted a lockdown at Danville Area High School shortly after 11 a.m.

The Montour County district attorney tells Newswatch 16 the school was put on lockdown. Students were moved to the auditorium while police searched the building. No bombs or weapons were found. Students returned to class about an hour later.

The school was evacuated on Monday while police and a bomb-sniffing dog searched the school.

Five students in the Scranton School District face felony terroristic threat charges following a series of bomb threats at the two high schools in the city earlier this month.

Parents in the Danville area say it's frustrating.

"I'm very stressed," said Tammy Heck. "I was wanting to walk right through the police to get my kids because I was so scared for them. As a parent, it's too overwhelming. As a parent, you want your kids to be in a safe environment, and I don't feel that that's safe right now."

The Montour County district attorney is investigating and says whoever is responsible for the bomb threats could face felony charges just like the students in Scranton.
