More than a decade after the death a Scranton native, a jury has convicted the man who killed her.
Tara Sidarovich Ord was born in Scranton, but lived in Florida. That is where the 19 year old was killed in 2001.
On Wednesday, a Florida jury convicted Phillip Barr. Barr was automatically sentenced to life without parole.
Another man accused in the killing, David McMannis, is scheduled to go on trial next year in Florida.
Ord's family in west Scranton never lost hope for justice in her killing.
In 2012, a rally was held in Scranton after authorities arrested the two men accused of killing her.
