Guilty Plea, Prison Sentence For Carbon County Murder

KIDDER TOWNSHIP -- A man from Monroe County has admitted killing another man and dumping his body in a shallow grave.

Michael Rhubart of Effort pleaded guilty to third degree murder on Monday.

Investigators believe Rhubart shot and killed the victim, from New Jersey, at his home in 2012 and then dumped the body near Lake Harmony.

After pleading guilty, Rhubart was sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison.
