Body Found Near Lake Harmony

KIDDER TOWNSHIP — Authorities made a disturbing discovery in Carbon County: a man’s body found in a shallow grave.

The body of Jubar Hughes 33, of Newark was found Monday night off Henning Road in Kidder Township, in a wooded area near Lake Harmony.

The coroner said Hughes was shot and ruled his death a homicide.

State police are investigating to find out who is responsible, why the man was killed, and how he ended up buried in a grave in the middle of the Pocono Mountains.
