HAZLETON -- Police have made a second arrest in connection with a beating last year in Hazleton that left a man severely injured.
Roberto Plasencia, 30, of Hazleton charged in connection with the beating of A.J. Goryl in Hazleton last year.
This latest arrest comes more than a year after the brutal beating in Hazleton.
Police charged Ronald Tavarez last week for the crime.
Plasencia is charged with recklessly endangering another person, obstructing information from law enforcement, receiving stolen property, and tampering with evidence.
According to court papers, he is accused of helping to cover up the beating by assisting Tavarez.
Plasencia will be in court again next week for a hearing on the charges as well as a hearing on other unrelated charges.
