PENNSYLVANIA, USA — A Stormtracker 16 Weather Impact Alert has been issued due to a Red Flag Warning covering northeastern Pennsylvania.
A Red Flag Warning is in affect for Carbon and Monore Counties from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Southern Wayne and Wyoming Counties are under a Red Flag Warning Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Per the National Weather Service, a Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring or are imminent due to wind gusts between 20 and 25+ mph, low relative humidity, and dry brush/fuel after lack of rain. Any fires that develop may quickly get out of control and become difficult to contain.
Due to these critical fire weather conditions, outdoor burning is not recommended. Look to local officials for burn bans and restrictions in place.
