Excessive flooding at The Reliance Hose Company's firemen's carnival

Flooding from Hurricane Debby led to the cancellation of multiple events at a firemen's carnival in Middleburg.

MIDDLEBURG, Pa. — This past Friday, Reliance Hose Company was hosting a firemen's carnival that got rained out thanks to Hurricane Debby.

At around 9:00pm, the water infiltrated a dam built to control the rainwater and spread across the carnival grounds.

In an effort to save products and equipment, The Hose Company made the difficult decision to pack up and move the vendors.

Touch-A-Truck, lunch and half-price wristbands were cancelled.

Despite the previous night's cancellations, The Hose Company will still be hosting multiple events on Saturday starting at 4:00pm.

Events include a dinner service, a special on hot sausage for $5, a performance from Modern Outlaws from 5:00pm-10:00pm, fireworks tentatively planned for 10:30pm and jackpot bingo at 11:00pm.

There will be an update around noon if any further cancellations occur.
