LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Monday was a record breaking day, seventy degrees in late November and McDade Park in Lackawanna County was packed.
"I was really happy because I was expecting cold weather," said Avery Sulz, of Scranton.
The weather is expected to change quickly. Wednesday a winter storm is predicted.
That is the very same day millions of people are expected to take to the road, traveling for Thanksgiving, but the snow is a serious concern.
"I think it's crazy that it's so warm right now and it's supposed to be snowing Wednesday, I have family coming in from New York, but I'm not sure how that's going to go," said Katrina Oleski of Scranton.
"I'm concerned because I planned on traveling to see our family who lives out of town, but now it looks like I'll be cooking instead," said Christina McHugh, of Scranton.
"I'm going to go to Philadelphia and spend it with my dad and family down there. The snow shouldn't affect me, but it could since it's coming from that way, but I'm not going to let it stop me from having a good time with my family. "
AAA is predicting despite the snowy forecast, more Americans will be traveling for holiday this year than in the past seven years. Officials predict more than 46 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more this Thanksgiving, adding travel should not be that affected because the holiday is such "a strong American tradition."
"I don't even want to think about Wednesday. Doesn't exist in my world," laughed Karen Sulz of Scranton.
