2026 Milton Area grad commits to Boston College Women's Soccer

Samantha Roarty is taking her talents to a Power 5 program.

MILTON, Pa. — The American Coastal Conference (ACC) is the top conference in the country for women’s soccer.  One Milton Area High School junior has committed to taking her talents to the Power 5.

Samantha Roarty, an attacking midfielder, has committed to Boston College. a team that currently sits atop the ACC with a 5-0 record. She’ll head to Chestnut Hill following her 2026 graduation.

“The coaches were amazing. The school— it was just beautiful, and their soccer program is also amazing,” said Roarty. “I loved it. Felt right, felt like home. They told me right away, like, we want you on this team, we want you, which is great to hear as a player.”

Samantha is already off to a blazing start in her junior season, recording 4 goals in Milton’s first two games. She also plays travel ball for the PA Classics, a team that resides 99 miles from Milton in Manheim, PA. Roarty’s commitment to working on her skills is something that sticks out to her coaches.

“Her work rate is incredible,” said Milton Area’s assistant girls’ soccer coach, Patrick McCarthy. “From the time she came in as a freshman, you could already tell she was going to be a special player. There's no doubt about that and just… Her ability to control the ball from any position on the field and make good passes with it and make good forward runs with it… It’s really second to none.”

Roarty is still considering which major she would like to pursue. While she’s excited to look ahead to her collegiate career, she’s equally as excited about the next two seasons at Milton.

“The next two years are going to be strong and successful, so it’s awesome to look forward to. Yeah I’m committed to school, but I also get to have fun playing high school and I get to do well at that, as well,” said Roarty.
