'The Clydesdales are back': Anheuser-Busch shares Super Bowl commercial sneak peek

The teaser trailer shows a team of Clydesdales trotting majestically through the snow.

ST. LOUIS — Less than three weeks out from the big game, Anheuser-Busch offered fans a sneak peek of its Super Bowl LVIII commercial slot on Thursday. This year's ad honors the St. Louis-based brewer's tradition with the return of the Budweiser Clydesdales.

The teaser trailer posted Thursday on Budweiser's YouTube channel shows a team of the iconic Clydesdales trotting majestically through the snow.

"The Clydesdales are back: 2.11.24," the commercial teaser reads.

“The Super Bowl is advertising’s biggest moment, and our goal is to once again captivate our audience when the world is watching,” Chief Commercial Officer for Anheuser-Busch Kyle Norrington said in a statement. “We’re showing up big time in this moment that matters for our beer drinkers and football fans across the country."

Anheuser-Busch secured 2.5 minutes of advertising time for its Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob Ultra brands during this year's Super Bowl, according to a news release from the company.

The Budweiser campaign, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker and Emmy-winning commercial director Henry Alex Rubin, plays on nostalgia and nods to past Super Bowl spots.

The Bud Light campaign will expand on its "Easy to Drink, Easy to Enjoy" platform with a humorous ad that showcases familiar faces and introduces a new character to the Bud Light universe, according to the news release.

Michelob Ultra will celebrate "active living" with an ad that features global soccer legend Lionel Messi. A teaser posted on Michelob's YouTube channel Thursday shows Messi ordering the beer on tap and reacting as the tap stops pouring.

Turn into the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11 to see the full commercials.
