Super 16 Team #7 Delaware Valley Warriors

The Warriors look to plug some new pieces into a talented roster in 2024

MILFORD, Pa. — Super 16 Team #7 The Delaware Valley Warriors

Once the trip to Lincoln Florida is over they will return home and make the trip to Jersey Shore to play the Bulldogs in Week 2. Then it's Central York, Scranton Prep and Wallenpaupack on the schedule. Not an easy road for head coach Keith Olsommer, but one that he has traveled before.

“Last season we had a nice run and lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual state champion. We had a nice team last year but that was last year, and this is 2024, and we are approaching it as a different team, different squad and different year and I think that is what we have to do. Lost some really good ball players last year but I think that we have some pretty good ones coming back,” said Keith.

Keith's son Logan becomes a full-time starter at quarterback. He knows the system well and has gained the necessary experience over the last 2 seasons to give this team a chance to win each week.

“It's exciting but it is kind of emotional. I mean growing up around the program and not going to be here it is going to be a lot but. The ride that it has been a great journey, and I am excited for this year to finish it out strong,” said Logan.

“Change wise we have a lot of change in our roster. We lost a lot of people. We are only returning a couple of players on each side of the ball, but we have a culture here and I feel like that is the same. Everybody wants to work hard so,” said Luke.

“It's a learning curve 100% so the back half of the field defensively is new all new so there is a lot of learning and lot of adjustments but everyone is picking up really well {{-L3 HEADLINE-}} and I have been really impressed with everyone,” said Mike.

“We return about 4 on each side of the ball, but we also have a good core and group of kids that had an opportunity to play quite a bit last year. So, we have some guys that have experience in some key moments for us and they are going to be asked for a larger role this year and some of those guys who are returning starters are going to have their roles obviously expand as well,” again said Keith.
