STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Penn State closes out its regular season schedule on Saturday with its eyes on the College Football Playoffs.
But to get there, the Nittany Lions have to take care of business at home in a Big Ten matchup against Maryland.
The Terrapins will visit Happy Valley at 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

Maryland (4-7) at Penn State (10-1)
BETTING LINES: Penn State is a 24.5-point favorite over Maryland. The money line is Penn State -4000, Maryland +1400. The over/under is 48.5.
SERIES HISTORY: Saturday's meeting will be the 48th between the Lions and the Terps, with Penn State holding a commanding 43-3-1 all-time advantage. The Lions have won seven of the last eight matchups and are 24-2 against Maryland in Beaver Stadium.
Last year, Penn State roared to a 51-15 victory in College Park. Drew Allar threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns, while the Lion defense held Maryland to -49 rushing yards and forced three turnovers.
ABOUT PENN STATE: The Nittany Lions escaped with a 26-25 victory at Minnesota last week, keeping their College Football Playoff hopes alive, as well as their outside shot at a berth in the Big Ten title game.
Last Saturday's victory also clinched the third straight 10-win season for Penn State for the fourth time in program history and their first as a member of the Big Ten. The last time the Lions had three 10-win seasons in a row was 1980-82. Penn State joined Oregon and Ohio State as the only FBS teams with 10 or more wins in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
The Nittany Lions have won seven games over teams with winning records, including six over Power Four teams with winning records.
Penn State tight end Tyler Warren set another school record last week, eclipsing the career receiving yardage mark for tight ends with an 8-yard catch in the third quarter. Warren broke Mike Gesicki's record of 1,481 yards set between 2014-17. Warren's career total stands at 1,516 yards. He is also tied for the PSU tight end career receiving touchdowns record (16) with Pat Freiermuth (2018-20) while holding PSU tight end season records for receptions (75) and receiving yards (910) and tying Wisconsin's Travis Beckum (75; 2007) for the Big Ten tight end season record for receptions.
ABOUT MARYLAND: The Terps fell to 4-7 overall and 1-7 in the Big Ten with last week's 29-13 loss to Iowa.
Head coach Michael Locksley is in his sixth season as Maryland's head coach. It's his third stint on the sidelines with the Terps; he previously served as offensive coordinator from 2012-15, and their running backs coach and recruiting coordinator from 1997-2002. He left the Terps after the 2015 season to take the offensive coordinator job at Alabama, serving for three years and helping the Crimson Tide capture the 2017 National Championship.
MJ Morris threw for 103 yards and two touchdowns against Iowa last week, while Tai Felton had six receptions for 57 yards and two scores.
On offense, Maryland sits 10th in the Big Ten in scoring offense (25.2), sixth in total offense (403.5), first in pass offense (289.6) and 15th in rushing offense (113.9).
QB Billy Edwards is seventh in the country in completions per game (24.82) and second in the Big Ten in passing yards (2,881), while adding 15 passing touchdowns and five rushing scores.
RB Roman Hemby leads the rushing attack with 543 yards and six touchdowns.
Felton ranks second in the nation in receptions per game (8.4), fourth in receiving yards (1,097), fifth in receiving yards per game (99.7) and 11th in receiving touchdowns (9).
On defense, the Terrapins hold 17th in the Big Ten in scoring defense (29.2), 16th in total defense (375.0), 17th in pass defense (245.7) and 12th in rushing defense (129.3).
LB Ruben Hyppolite II paces Maryland with 55 tackles to go with 5.5 tackles for loss. LB Caleb Wheatland and LB Kellan Wyatt each have seven tackles for loss.
