Dallas Boys Soccer falls short in PIAA 3A State Semifinals

The District II Champions faced the District I Champions in the State semifinal.

WHITEHALL, Pa. — The Badnor Raptors (17-3) defeat the Dallas Mountaineers (18-4-1) 3-0 in the PIAA 3A State Semfinal at Whitehall High School Tuesday evening.

The Raptors were aggressive shooting early on. They managed to keep the ball on the opposite side of the field for most of the contest.

Senior, Andrew Marino, scored the Raptors first goal off of a free kick. The goal came with 12 minutes remaining in the first half.

Senior, Roman Rivera, added the team's second goal with 35 minutes remaining, keeping the pressure on the Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers weren't able to possess the ball long enough to get much going offensively. The team had very limited opportunities to take shots of their own and get back in the match.

Tyler Ferst scored the Raports third goal with 11 minutes left to play, sinking the Mountaineers too deep to come back from.

Radnor will face Moon in the 3A State Final on Friday.

Dallas finishes a successful season as District II Champions and with an appearance in the State Semifinals, a feat they haven't accomplished since 1999.
