PENNSYLVANIA, USA — People who heat their homes with natural gas may see their bills coming down.
UGI Utilities announced its purchased gas cost rates will decrease on Friday, December 1.
The average residential heating customer receiving gas from UGI will see a bill decrease of 20.2%, lowering the average monthly bill from $116.76 to $93.17 per month.
By law, utilities must pass the cost of the natural gas they purchase directly to customers without any markup.
The company offers assistance and payment options on the UGI website.
Pennsylvania offers low-income assistance through the LIHEAP program.
