PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The Shapiro Administration announced on Wednesday that six new military-themed license plates are now available.
Three new plates will recognize women veterans, and the three others will recognize service members who received Medals or Honors for their achievements or deployments. Forms need to be provided for some of the veteran plates.
The plates include
- Honoring Our Women Veteran Motorcycle Registration Plate
- Women Veteran Motorcycle Registration Plate
- Women Veteran Registration Plate
- Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal Registration Plate
- Operation Inherent Resolve Veterans Plate
- Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Registration Plate
Women Veteran Plates
The Honoring Our Women Veteran Motorcycle Registration Plate will be $41, with $15 going to the Veterans Trust Fund to support programs and resources assisting women veterans, only available for motorcyclists.
The Women Veteran Motorcycle Registration Plate will be $26 and only available for motorcyclists who are women veterans. It will be in the standard colors of white, blue, and gold and feature a graphic representing women veterans. Forms must be submitted to verify.
The Women's Veteran Registration Plate will be $26. It is made of white, blue, and gold plate colors and bears a graphic representing women veterans. It is only available for women veterans. Forms must be submitted to verify.
Medals or Honors Plates
The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal Registration Plate will be $26, and a form that they were awarded the Medal will be required. The plate will be in the standard colors white, blue, and gold and bear a graphic of the medal awarded.
The Operation Inherent Resolve Veterans Plate will be $26, and forms indicating that they participated in Operation Inherent Resolve against the Islamic State and the Levant, which encompasses campaigns in Iraq, Syria, and Libya, need to be provided. The plate will be in the standard colors of white, blue, and gold and bear a graphic of the Medal awarded.
The Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Registration Plate will be $26, and they must provide forms indicating they served in the 65th Infantry Regiment—The Borinqueneers or other evidence of having received the Congressional Gold Medal. The plate will be in the standard colors of white, blue, and gold and bear a graphic of the medal awarded.
