PENNSYLVANIA, USA — People who heat their homes with natural gas are getting a break on their bills.
UGI Utilities announced its purchased gas cost rates will decrease on Friday, March 1.
The average residential heating customer getting natural from UGI to heat their homes will see a bill decrease of 3%, lowering the average monthly bill from $93.96 per month to $91.04 per month.
By law, utilities must pass the cost of the natural gas they purchase directly to customers without any markup.
The rate decrease follows another drop in December.
The company offers assistance and payment options on the UGI website.
Pennsylvania offers low-income assistance through the LIHEAP program.
