PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Pennsylvania American Water is encouraging its customers throughout the state to conserve water due to the drought watch announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
DEP announced the drought watch on Friday due to dry conditions.
According to DEP's guidance, Pennsylvania American Water customers are encouraged to reduce their non-essential water usage by 10-15% (11-16 gallons daily).
The counties where Pennsylvania America Water provides service and is included in the drought watch are: Adams, Allegheny, Beaver, Berks, Bucks, Butler, Chester, Clearfield, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Fayette, Indiana, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lebanon, Luzerne, Montgomery, Monroe, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Schuylkill, Washington, and York.
