Justice Department seeks nursing home data

The Justice Department has requested information from governors of states with high numbers of COVID-19 related nursing home deaths. That includes Pennsylvania.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The letter to Governor Wolf says that Pennsylvania, as well as New York, New Jersey, and Michigan required nursing homes to admit patients with coronavirus into their vulnerable populations.

Governor Wolf has 14 days to respond to the letter, which asks for data on residents and employees of nursing homes who contracted the virus.

The Justice Department also asked for all state-issued guidance regarding nursing homes during the pandemic.
