LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo has recently reversed her decision barring the use of drop boxes.

On September 18th, Crocamo ruled against deploying drop boxes, citing security and financial concerns as reasoning to county election officials.

One week later, Crocamo requested the state attorney general's office to investigate her decision.

The ACLU of Pennsylvania filed a lawsuit on behalf of Luzerne County voters. Along with the ACLU, 27 other organizations felt that removing drop boxes undermined the rights of voters.

Recently, however, Crocamo has reversed her initial decision and decided to deploy drop boxes.

Crocamo says she still has "grave concerns about the safety of the drop boxes in this present political climate."
