LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Candidates in a major congressional race in Northeastern Pennsylvania met on the debate stage in Luzerne County Tuesday night.
Republican Rob Bresnahan is challenging incumbent Democrat Matt Cartwright in the 8th Congressional District.
Cartwright is seeking his 7th congressional term.
"Always fought for the wellbeing of the people in Northeastern Pennsylvania, for their access to health care, for their individual rights, their labor rights, their voting rights, their reproductive rights, fought for public education," said Matt Cartwright.
"Life is unaffordable. And I'm running to make life affordable again for Northeastern Pennsylvania. I'm running to secure our borders; I'm running to secure our communities," said Rob Bresnahan.
