TUNKHANNOCK -- A man from Wyoming County was sentenced to state prison, more than three years after causing a crash that killed the two passengers in his vehicle.

Robert Jesse Morris of Tunkhannock was only 19 when that crash happened in 2011 on Route 292 outside Tunkhannock.

A mother and daughter who were riding with him were killed.

Morris was sentenced Wednesday to up to seven years in state prison.

Now 22, Morris was at the Wyoming County Courthouse in Tunkhannock for sentencing.

Morris was originally charged with homicide by motor vehicle with DUI because prosecutors said Morris was under the influence when he caused the head-on crash.

Earlier this year, Morris pleaded guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Mother and daughter Kelly Radwanski, 40, and Cailene Radwanski, 15, were the passengers in Morris' vehicle.

During the sentencing hearing, Morris told the judge he cared for Kelly and Cailene deeply and regretted what he did.

Morris was sentenced to 34 months to 84 months in state prison, meaning his minimum sentence is just shy of three years behind bars.

The Wyoming County district attorney said not only was Morris under the influence at the time of the crash, he was also driving with a suspended license.
