WAYNE COUNTY, Pa. — A man from Wayne County has been charged in connection with a Covid-19 pandemic fraud scheme.

Investigators say Robert Reynolds, 69, of Newfoundland, allegedly helped in the filing of fraudulent applications for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA).

Officials say Reynolds claimed to be unemployed due to the pandemic but was, in fact, a retiree.

Reynolds is accused of obtaining $36,000 in PUA benefits as a result of the scheme and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
