HONESDALE, Pa. — Honesdale will be a busy place this weekend with several events happening.
There will be no shortage of brews this weekend in Honesdale as the borough prepares for its second annual Beer and Wine Festival this weekend. Nearly two dozen breweries, wineries and distilleries will be at the Wayne County Fairgrounds for the event...including Here and Now Brewing Company.
"It's fun to taste all the other ones and it's fun to be there alongside of other businesses as well," Allaina Propst of Here and Now Brewing Company said.
All proceeds from the event go to the Honesdale Rotary Club.
"They put money back in the community, beautify town, just do a bunch of awesome events that keep putting money back into the community," Propst said.
Also taking place in Honesdale this weekend is Harvest and Heritage Days. There will be vendors, music and more.
"There will be hayrides for the kids. There will be pumpkin painting, all kinds of vendors, great food, all kinds of fun. Come to Honesdale, there's a corn shucking contest you don't want to miss that one," Brian Wilken, President of the Greater Honesdale Partnership said.
There will be ghost tours on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
"Honesdale is a very walkable town. It's supposed to be great weather. There will be cider, donuts, maple syrup, all kinds of great things," Wilken said.
Harvest and Heritage Days are October 12th and 13th from 10am to 4pm on Main Street. The Honesdale Beer and Wine Festival is Sunday, October 13th at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door.
