Motorcycle ride for a good cause in Wayne County

The annual Andy Boandl Motorcycle Run was held Sunday in Texas Township near Honesdale, benefitting 2-year-old Robbie Chapman.

WAYNE COUNTY, Pa. — A different kind of bike was the focus Sunday in part of Wayne County.

For 17 years, the Hamlin Hawgs have organized a motorcycle run and fundraiser to benefit a family in need.

This year, the recipient is the family of 2-year-old Robbie Chapman, who was diagnosed with leukemia.

Organizers say extra funds are needed for the toddler's family.

"They have a lot on their plate. They have to go back and forth to the Janet Weis Hospital in Danville for all the treatment, so their hands are full," said Ann Boandl, event coordinator.

The yearly event in Wayne County typically raises over $20,000.
