Apparently Kid was not the only star born at Wayne County Fair 10 years ago

While his interview didn't go viral, it launched a television career for one man.

HONESDALE, Pa. — The video of Noah Ritter at the Wayne County Fair may be the most viewed interview in Newswatch 16 history.

"Apparently, sometimes I don't watch the news, and I'm a kid and apparently everytime grandpa gives me the remote after watching Powerball."

Noah Ritter was the star of the story about the Wayne County Fair 10 years ago. He catapulted to viral fame: The Apparently Kid.

But he wasn't the only kid we interviewed that day at the fair.

Ricky Sayer was there. "Well, the weather might put a slight damper on things, but I still think people will come out here because it's a fair, and who doesn't love the fair? "

That was 15-year-old Ricky Sayer, 10 years ago, visiting the fair from a nearby summer camp.

So he didn't go viral... but that was also his TV debut.

"So I was 15, I knew I wanted to be a TV reporter, I saw a microphone and thought this is my moment to be on TV for the first time, so I took it."

Ricky is now a TV reporter in Pittsburgh.

The same story that launched Noah Ritter to stardom... also launched another boy's career in front of the camera.

"I did my best to give an excellent sound bite; it just so happens that 15 seconds later, I was topped 10 fold.

Noah Ritter, "Apparently, I've never been on live TV before."

Since then, Ricky has felt a connection with the Apparently Kid and has had a fun story to share.

He also mentions how, for a moment, 10 years ago, he thought he was the star of the fair story.

"The next day, a counselor said a clip from the fair went viral with a kid, and I thought it was me!"

But he quickly learned it was the boy who said apparently.

"Oh my gosh, he went big; I remember when he went on Ellen; more than anything, Ellen's appearance was the big thing. Noah Ritter is a big name in viral videos."
