WAYNE COUNTY, Pa. — An animal shelter in Wayne County will be closed to visitors until further notice.
Dessin Animal Shelter near Honesdale says they have taken in more than 30 dogs from a hoarding situation.
Shelter staff say the dogs were found in horrible conditions; many of them were tied up without food and water.
The shelter is asking for dog and puppy food donations to help them deal with the influx of animals. Information on how to donate can be found by clicking here.
