Dessin Animal Shelter takes in more than 30 dogs, closes doors to visitors

Dessin Animal Shelter announced it will be closed to visitors until further notice after taking in 31 dogs and puppies rescued in a hoarding and neglect situation.

WAYNE COUNTY, Pa. — An animal shelter in Wayne County will be closed to visitors until further notice.

Shelter staff say the dogs were found in horrible conditions; many of them were tied up without food and water.

The shelter is asking for dog and puppy food donations to help them deal with the influx of animals. Information on how to donate can be found by clicking here.
