UNION COUNTY, Pa. — Whether it's getting in shape, eating healthier, or spending more time with family, almost all of us have made a New Year's resolution at some point in our lives.
"My New Year's resolution is to make more money than what I did last year and maybe retire sometime," James Stahl of Lewisburg said.
Newswatch 16 caught up with some folks in Lewisburg as they got a head start on some of those resolutions.
"To go to the gym more, don't eat at fast food restaurants, and to be happy," Linda Lizardi of Muncy said.
"Just to spend more time with my family and enjoy life and my retirement," Wendy Stahl of Lewisburg said.
Some of you want to focus on your health this year.
"I've had a lot of health problems, not a lot, but new health problems. I'm trying to get that under control and get my fitness under control and then get my personal training certificate," Jennifer Ellis of Lewisburg said.
"I'm just going to keep trying to make myself better. Try to bring out the best in myself, brighten people's day, but overall just focus on myself for 2024," Will Burke of Lewisburg said.
We caught up with Sean Morgan of Lewisburg in the middle of his first run of the year.
"So last year, for the first time in my life, I accomplished my running goal. I did 382 miles last year. So this year, I'm trying to up that to at least 400," Sean Morgan of Lewisburg said.
But the "new year, new me" mantra isn't for everyone.
"What's your New Year's Resolution? Don't have one," WNEP Photographer Tom Durant said.
"Well as for me last year I walked at least one mile everyday. This year I'd like to continue doing that. Maybe try and eat a bit healthier. We'll see how that goes. Happy 2024 everyone," said Newswatch 16's Nikki Krize.
