MIFFLINBURG, Pa. — Students at one elementary school in Union County had an unexpected day off.
The Mifflinburg School District says bees were coming into the elementary school cafeteria from a vent in the roof. The superintendent tells Newswatch 16 that the school was closed on Friday because there was no way to feed the kids while the pest company got rid of the bees.
Students are expected to be back in the classroom on Monday.
