Motorcycle crash leaves man with potential serious injuries in Union County, police say

UNION COUNTY, Pa. — A man is hospitalized after a motorcycle crash on July 4 in Union County near Mifflinburg, according to a state police press release. 

At 11:21 am, the man was traveling east on Route 192 on a motorcycle with no helmet. He crossed a bridge at high speed past a slow-moving horse and buggy, the press release said.

He then saw a driver in a Chevy Cruze turning left onto Buffalo Creek Road and swerved to avoid direct impact. He swiped the front bumper of the car and was flown off his motorcycle. Police believe he sustained serious injuries.

The collision happened at the intersection between Buffalo Road and Buffalo Creek Road. The driver of the car was not injured, the press release said.

Medical teams transported the man on the motorcycle to Geisinger Medical Center. He was identified as 20-year-old Jace Croutch of Lewisburg, according to the press release.
