LEWISBURG -- Sharon Budd and the rest of her family weren't just back in Union County for court hearings on Tuesday.
The woman from Ohio is about to have another surgery at Geisinger Medical Center near Danville. It will be her seventh since she lost an eye and had a piece of her brain removed after the rock throwing incident last year. This surgery will focus on replacing part of her skull, again.
"They're going to try to do some adjustment with this eye, even the eyes up. Possibly my nose right here," said Sharon Budd.
The family said this surgery will be different from the rest.
Randy Budd, Sharon's husband, said "She's got hair now coming back and my heart just goes out to her that she has to go through this once again. For the seventh time. It's not fair."
Sharon Budd said, "I don't remember any of the other surgeries, going in or coming out, and I'll know everything this time. So, it's nerve-racking."
Many of the people who came to the Union County Courthouse on Tuesday had no idea who Sharon Budd was before the rock throwing incident last July. Now, they can't imagine life without the Budd's.
Rhonda Fisher from Beaver Springs said, "They've just become a part of my heart now."
Fisher will again be making meals for the family while Sharon recovers at the hospital. She said that Mrs. Budd has come a long way.
"It's amazing and she's a trooper. I can't imagine anybody who could come out on top the way she has."
Sharon Budd said, "I don't think we can go anywhere without someone stopping us, giving me a hug or telling me they support me."
Tina Prowant of Lewisburg got her hug in. She's been following the case since last July.
"I ended up having my brain surgery in 2010, so I have a little bit of knowledge of what she's going through," said Prowant.
She hopes that surgery number seven will be lucky for the Budd family.
"Keep praying, keep smiling, keep knowing how blessed you are."
Both Keefer McGee and Dylan Lahr are expected to be sentenced sometime next month.
Sharon Budd said she's not sure if she'll be here at the court house for that saying it all depends on how her surgery goes on Friday.
