ALLENWOOD, Pa. — Summer fun is going down at Clyde Peeling's Reptiland in Union County. Owner Clyde Peeling spoke to Newswatch 16 about some of the fun events that Reptiland has in store over the next few months.
"We have our annual Dino Days, and we bring in a paleontologist. He calls himself Dr. Dino, but his name is Chris DeLorey, and he has been very popular every year with have Dino Days," Peeling said.
In addition to the popular Dino Days, kids will get the chance to track down the ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex this summer.
"People go through their cell phones, and we have QR codes, and they get clues, and then eventually the clues take them to T-Rex.
Last year, Reptiland could not hold any events because of the ongoing pandemic. Peeling said it was a tough year not being able to see people enjoy the reptiles.
"We had a long dry spell like every business in the area. When we were closed, it was a struggle because we were trying to feed the animals and keep them warm."
Peeling says this year has been one of the busiest years that he can remember.
"More people have visited this year than any previous year, and I think it is because people just want to get out and do things with the family," Peeling added.
Dino Days will take place June 25 - June 27.
The hunt will for T-Rex will take place on July 17 and 18.
