LEWISBURG -- The teens accused of throwing a rock from an Interstate 80 overpass and badly injuring a woman were back in Union County court on Tuesday.

They admit throwing rocks from an interstate overpass to traffic below but none will admit to tossing the one rock that seriously injured a woman when it went through her windshield.

It has been nearly a year since four teenagers were accused of throwing rocks from an Interstate 80 overpass in Union County. When one of those rocks hit a vehicle below, the life of a teacher from Ohio was suddenly changed forever.

All four were in court Tuesday.

It was a busy day in court as two of those teenagers pleaded guilty, one was sentenced and the fourth, Tyler Porter, told the judge he needs time to review his plea agreement. If porter's case ends up going to trial, at least one of the other teenagers agreed to testify against him.

Sharon Budd and her family traveled from Ohio to Lewisburg to come face to face with all four teenagers accused in the rock throwing incident that left her critically hurt.

The teens were all accused of throwing a rock through the Budd's windshield last July.

"It's emotional when you not only think about Sharon mostly, but when you think about her parents and the kids," said Randy Budd.

All four teenagers were in court for different reasons.

First to face the judge was Tyler Porter, 18, of Sunbury. His attorney said they needed more time to look over a plea agreement. Porter could enter a plea later but for now jury selection for his trial is scheduled for July.

Up next was Keefer McGee, 18, of New Columbia. He pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to aggravated assault and could get almost a year behind bars.

Dylan Lahr, 18, of New Columbia was in court next. He's the one the other boys say actually threw the rock that hit Budd. Lahr never admitted that, but did plead guilty to four charges, including aggravated assault. He could get up to 20 years behind bars.

Last to go before the judge was Brett Lahr, 19, of New Columbia who last March pleaded no contest to criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. He had nothing to say to the Budd family Tuesday afternoon at his sentencing.

But Randy Budd had plenty to say. He told the judge the crime was pure evil and he hates when people call it a prank.

"That gets my blood boiling because I know what a prank is and this was not a prank," he said.

The judge sentenced Brett Lahr to between one and a half and 20 years in jail.

"I think the judge has the best idea for the defendants and for Randy and I," Sharon Budd said.

We asked Sharon if she forgives the teenagers.

"Some days, and other days I do not. So, up and down on that."

Dylan Lahr and Keefer McGee are scheduled to be sentenced later this summer.

The Budd family has another battle ahead for them this week. Sharon will have another surgery on Friday.
