SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, Pa. — Two people face charges after a child was found walking along a road in Susquehanna County last week.

According to state police, on Wednesday, January 10, state police in Gibson received a report of a child walking on Route 11 in New Milford Township.

Troopers say the 4-year-old boy fell asleep on the school bus on the way to Blue Ridge Elementary around 8:30 a.m. The bus driver and aide on the bus failed to check the bus for children after drop-off and left with the child still sleeping. The boy woke up and started walking on Route 11.

Susquehanna County's Children and Youth Services was notified, and charges of endangering the welfare of children will be filed against the bus driver and aide, who declined to comment when contacted Tuesday morning.
