SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, Pa. — Saturday marked the 5th Annual Forest City Parks and Recreation Winterfest and Soup Cook-Off in Kennedy Park.
Local restaurants and individuals submitted entries. Folks could then sample all the soups and pick their favorites..proceeds from the soup cook-off go to Forest City Parks and Recreation.
"We're definitely looking into an expansion project; we are applying for a grant that will come in April. Our hopes for that was to double the size of the main building plus do new bathrooms up here," said Deanna Flood, Forest City Parks and Recreation volunteer.
Prizes were given for the three best soups in Susquehanna County.
