SULLIVAN COUNTY, Pa. — Parents from Sullivan County admitted to not getting their newborn help, leading to the baby's death.
According to investigators, the baby was born at home near Mildred in January 2022.
Shortly after, the infant showed signs of distress. The baby died from cardiac arrest two days later.
Drew Hoenigke pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and related charges.
Amy Hoenigke pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault.
Investigators say the parents were aware of the baby's condition but never called for help.
