Republican David Rowe has been elected to fill a seat in 85th District of the state House of Representatives, according to unofficial results.
Voters in parts of Union and Snyder counties headed to the polls Tuesday to elect a new state representative to fill the remainder of Republican Fred Keller's term after Keller was elected to the U.S. Congress.
The unusual late-summer election pitted Democrat Jenn Rager-Kay against Republican David Rowe.
With 100% of precincts reporting, the unofficial results have Rowe with 6,489 votes to Democrat Jenn Rager-Kay's 3,874 votes.
