Sewer main break affecting residents in Snyder County

The break happened on a 20-inch main and affects several residential areas throughout Snyder County.

SNYDER COUNTY, Pa. — A sewer main break is impacting residents in Snyder County.

Officials with Snyder County's Emergency Management Agency say the break is on a 20 inch main near the treatment plant.

As a result, all residents in Shamokin Dam Borough, Monroe Township, Penn Township, and Selinsgrove Borough are asked to limit water use until repairs are made.

Ways to limit water use include limiting time in the shower and only doing laundry if you have to.

There is no word yet on when repairs will be completed after the break in Snyder County.
