MIDDLEBURG, Pa. — There was no shortage of customers at Brantley Herman's lemonade stand. The 10 year old set up shop outside his great-grandmother's house on East Main Street in Middleburg.
The lemonade stand, which Brantley said was to raise money for a cause close to home.
"I have lemonade stands sometimes to help out kids who have cancer because I know what it's like when I had cancer."
At the age of 7, Brantley was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. He underwent 18 months of chemotherapy and is two years out of treatment.
For the past three summers, Brantley has sold lemonade, but he doesn't keep any of the money. For the first two years, he gave the proceeds to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. This summer, Brantley is donating his earnings to individual families affected by cancer.
Brantley said he would be donating his latest earnings to the family of 5-year-old Liam Huggler of Allenwood, who was also diagnosed with brain cancer.
Since he began selling lemonade, Brantley has raised more than $2,000 at his lemonade stands.
You can help out by donating to Liam's GoFundMe.
