POTTSVILLE, Pa. — People come from all over the United States for Saturday's Yuengling Stars and Stripes Summer Celebration in Pottville's historic district.
Kyla Brobst is a Pottsville native. She comes from Florida for the celebration each year.
"Oh yeah! We're like right in the front; We're gonna be here all day," said Brobst.
Country star Lee Brice is headlining the celebration this year. This will be Karla Bohner's second time seeing the star at the Yuengling Stars & Stripes celebration.
"That was amazing! It was so full and so fun!" said Bohner.
But Lee Brice isn't the only reason people make their way to the celebration in Pottsville.
"Oh, their food! I've had the lobster fries from Famous Fries. They are amazing!" added Bohner.
"Beer, music, food, everything. The people it's the best thing ever. Yeah, if you go up there, there's falafels, the best thing on the planet. I swear, try it," said Brayden Nevabomsky of Pottsville.
Maria Baldino moved to Pottsville two years ago. She said last year's celebration made her want to come back this year.
"There was a stand that had bacon on a stick and so I'm hoping that they will be here again," said Baldino.
Many Pottsville natives were proud that the Yuengling Stars & Stripes Celebration aims to support veterans.
"I mean, this is the best town in the whole world. I mean that it is. It's the best place to grow up ever," said Tejay Allen of Pottsville.
Fireworks are slated to be the finale of the celebration in Schuylkill County.
