COAL TOWNSHIP — Police in Schuykill County are investigating the assault of a Walmart employee at the store in Coal Township.
Officers said the assault happened around 8 p.m.
According to published reports, the worker tried to stop a person suspected of stealing items from the store.
The report also said the person pulled out a knife, and the worker suffered an injury to his jaw.
The attacker ran out of the store after the assault.
