SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. — This is Chetty. Not much is known about this little kitten except that he's hundreds of miles away from home.
"Missouri, I don't know how far that is, but that's a ride from PA," said Anthony Ryndock, Forklift Operator at Yuengling Brewery.
It was a normal day at work for Anthony Ryndock, a forklift operator at Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville, "My boss came out and said, 'Hey, a truck coming in from Missouri, full of pallets, just got to empty it," he said.
But as he was emptying the truck, he heard meowing.
"He was all the way in the front of the trailer, like stuffed in between two pallets, and he was in there for about five, six days, no food, no water," said Ryndock.
Chetty was immediately saved, and managers put out a call asking if anyone wanted to adopt the kitten. Jen Felty answered it.
"Cheryl brought the kitten up, and once I saw her, I knew one of my kids would take them because they're all cat lovers... I'm a dog person; I mean, I like the cats, but I don't want to keep it forever," said Felty, Yuengling Brewery Accountant.
Luckily, Jen has a daughter who's always dreamt of having a cat.
"Growing up I was never allowed to have one and then my sister brought one home from college and they fell in love with her, her name is Penny, then my brother got a cat and now here we have Chetty," said Alyssa Raho, Tower City.
Chetty was hundreds of miles away from home; now, he's found a new one.
"Me and my husband, we both love all kinds of pets at home. We have a dog, Benson, a we have a chinchilla, Piper, and a bunny named Bun. So she'll fit right into our little farm," said Raho.
