ASHLAND, Pa. — A woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of her children in Schuylkill County after they were exposed to drugs back in June.
Nikki Rehrig, 30, of Ashland, is charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of children after her three young children, ages 3, 6, and 7, were found to have fentanyl in their system.
Officials responded to the home on Walnut Street on June 22 for a report of a child having trouble breathing. The child was given Narcan and was rushed to the hospital. Crews discovered fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system.
Authorities took emergency custody of the three children.
Rehrig is free on unsecured bail.
