FRIEDENSBURG, Pa. — Thieves in Schuylkill County used hooks, chains and a pick-up truck to steal from a bank ATM this week, state police at Schuylkill Haven said Sunday.
State police said the unknown thieves pilfered an undisclosed amount of cash early Monday from an ATM at First Citizens Community Bank's Wayne Township branch, 1549 Long Run Road.
The thieves broke into the cash machine using hooks attached to a chain that was affixed to a 2004 Ford F250. Once they stole the cash inside, the thieves fled.
The investigation remained ongoing, state police said.
