Prison term for admitted nude photo Snapchat hacker

POTTSVILLE, Pa. — A man from Schuylkill County who pleaded guilty to hacking the Snapchat accounts of dozens of women and selling their nude photos will spend time in prison.

Brandon Boyer, 34, from Pottsville, was sentenced Thursday to 18 months' imprisonment and two years of supervised release.

Investigators said Boyer accessed the computers of dozens of adult female victims in order to get photographs that he could then sell.

Authorities said it happened over a two-year period from approximately February 2020 to February 2022.

Boyer acknowledged earning between $50,000 and $60,000 from this activity.

Boyer pleaded guilty in September.
